2007-2008 Freshman Class Notes

Freshman VP:
Tom Haener

News and Tips for the Freshmen Class

Please do not leave campus during the school day. We will have to suspend you and that will mean at least one day out of school.  The only way we won’t count any absence against you is if you have a doctor’s or dentist note when you return. Those notes must be turned into the Attendance Officer, in the main office.

Dress:  Please review the dress policy in your student handbook.  CHS is not MTV! No music videos have been made here……..we do not host the MTV or VH1 music awards.  We are a school. Learning takes place here, it is your job. I know TV shows a wide variety of skin, however at Centennial modesty in dress is appreciated.

Let me remind you once more   4 tardies = loss of credit in class.

Please set a goal for youself in each of your classes with regards of the quality of your work and what grade you will earn in each specific class.  Five week grades will be tabulated in Septemberth and will be given directly to you.  That day is not that far away!  Keep caught up and remember that your learning and schoolwork and performance are all your “JOB”.  Your job is to learn as much as you can and create opportunities for you to be happy in your life and contribute to society in a positive way.

Start now by becoming better.   Hope you have signed up for at least one activity.  I’ll have a list in each of your English rooms by the middle of next week.

Remember if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to come see me, I’m here to help you !
