DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS

February 5, 2010

1.      February 15^th  is the priority deadline for FAFSA and many colleges financial aid.  This means that all required documents must be on file with the admissions office of the college or university to be considered for financial aid for the 2010-2011 school year.  Transcript requests must be in the counseling office by no later than 3:15 on February 9^th in order to be processed and sent to the school by the 15^th deadline.  If you have questions, please come to the career center during lunch before or after school for help.

2.      ** Key Club is selling “Karnations for Kids” during PAT and lunch through Feb 9th.  For every four Karnations you buy, your name will go in a drawing.  You could win two tickets to the movies.  Karnations will be delivered on Feb. 11^th.

3.      ***** Want to win an X-Box 360 with all the extras?  Newspaper will draw the winning raffle ticket at senior night of the boys varsity basketball game.  Get your tickets now $3 each or 2 for $5.  Tickets available during lunch by the breadsticks in the social center.

4.      *****Is Einstein your Homeboy?  Well it is time to let everyone know that he is.  Buy your academic t-shirt now.  Shirts are on sale at lunch next to the bookkeeper’s office.  Shirts are $8.

5.      **Students,  if you still have books from your first semester classes you need to return them to your teachers or you will be getting a fine for the book.

6.      **Acrobat will have a meeting today at lunch.

7.      ***Girls Lacrosse practice starts Monday, February 8^th at 3:30 pm.  Registration packets are in room 210, these must be filled out before you step on the field.  There will be a team meeting today at 3:30pm in the auxillary room.

8.       CONGRATULATIONS!!  JV girls basketball for winning the district championship over Mountain View 41-29.   A perfect finish to another dominant season.  WAY TO GO GIRLS!

9.      **French Club meets today in Mrs. Shearer’s room 206.  Join us for some Valentine fun at lunch.

10.  Snow Team:  Our 5^th race is tomorrow (Saturday).  Let’s have a great turn-out and defend our undefeated season.

11.  Hey Patriots!  The Academic Assembly is next week.  Let’s show our school spirit on dress up days.  Monday is nerd day; Tuesday - college spirit day; Wednesday – decade day; Thursday – academic shirt day/school spirit day.
